Edward Joseph Martin, Jr.

Edward Joseph Martin Jr., age 73, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022. He was born January 3, 1949 to the late Edward, Sr., and Mamie (nee Richards) Martin. Edward was also preceded in death by his brother in law, Dennis Kube.

Edward leaves behind his beloved of thirty-eight years, Mary Andrews. He also leaves behind his step-children, Greg Cheshire, Christine (Kurt) Seibert and Chuck (Michelle) Schwab, a sister, Donna Kube and nephews, Dennis Kube, Jr., and Tim (Kellie) Kube. He was a loving grandpa to nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was also a great uncle, a cousin and a friend to many.

Edward was a proud member of the American Legion Post #162 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. Some of Edward’s hobbies included fishing at his favorite fishing hole at Wappapello Lake, “painting by number” portraits and constructing unique 3-d models out of Popsicle sticks.

A visitation for Edward will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Edward will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, Jefferson Barracks, MO 63125 where Edward will receive Full Military Honors for serving in the United States Navy.
