A remarkable life came to a peaceful rest when Cynthia (nee Bollasina) Agnello, 89, passed in her native St. Louis on Monday, February 27, 2023. She was born to devoted parents John and josephine Bollasina and attended St. Ambrose grade school and Rosati-Kain High School. A loving and joyful childhood equipped her well to provide a lifetime of kindness, compassion and support to all those blessed to know her. And if you knew Cynthia, you loved her.
Cynthia was raised on The Hill, where she met the love of her life, Victor "Vito" Agnello. The couple married in 1953 and raised four children in an active, happy and loving family. Cynthia was the heart of her family and consistently recognized the good in others. Cynthia was a homemaker in the most powerful sense; her magnetism made her home a popular (and often crowded) haven and hub for family, friends and neighbors.
Cynthia is predeceased by Vito, her husband of 64 years, and her brother Louis (Josetta) Bollasina. She is survived by her children, Carla (Mike) Jarvis, John Agnello, Mary Jo Meitl, and Joseph Agnello, and her grandchildren, Elle Meitl, Drew Agnello, Nick Agnello, Jake Agnello, Jack Agnello, Peter Agnello, and Kyle Agnello. A special thanks to Allegro and her team of compassionate caregivers
Visitation will be held at Saint Ambrose Church, 5130 Wilson Avenue 63110 on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 8:30am followed by a Memorial Mass at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sick and Elderly Program of The Hill or BackStoppers.
