Betty Irene Reece

Betty Irene Reece, age 78, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Born July 28, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to Andrew and Dorothy Long (nee Jones); beloved wife of the late Verlin Reece; loving mother of Kenny, Keith and Kevin Reece, Grandmother of Bridget and Kevin Jr.

Betty was devoted to helping others; she volunteered working with those patients on hospice and comforting them through their transition. She also volunteered delivering “meals on wheels” to the elderly, cleaning the Presbyterian Church, and calling Bingo. Betty loved her St. Louis Cardinals, traveling, especially to the casinos.

A visitation for Betty will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A funeral service will occur 12:00 PM. A committal service will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 2000 N Pennsylvania, Pagedale, MO 63133.
