Bernice Marie Gallini, age 95, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Bernice was born May 30, 1927 to the late Emil and Marie (nee Zykan) Schmaltz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gallini, and a brother and his wife, Emil (Toni) Schmaltz.
Bernice will be missed by her daughter, Sharon (Tom) Sandvoss, and a brother, Richard (Erma) Schmaltz. She was a beloved grandmother to Scott (Julia) Sandvoss, Keith (Kathy) Sandvoss, Ryan (Sarah) Sandvoss, and Ross (Chrissie) Sandvoss. Also, great-grandmother to Connor, Haley, Parker, Richard, Stewart, Rylie, Gavin, Sawyer, and Finn.
Bernice had many hobbies, which included; gardening, playing cards, visiting garage sales and thrift stores and occasionally a visit to the casinos.
A visitation for Bernice will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Bernice will be laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery, 3906 Mt. Olive Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
