Sharon,
I am sending this through the Dignity website because I couldn’t seem to find your address to write a proper condolence note. I now live in NYC or I would have attended the funeral. Barry was such a kind, warm and funny person. He was also such a good friend to Nolan. It’s so tough losing a spouse, as I know quite well. When you’ve been in a long-time marriage, it’s like losing an appendage. Know that you are in my thoughts. May Barry’s memory be a blessing.

Barry was a mentor and very kind supporter while we were at Pagoda. My first trip to NYC was with Barry. I will always remember his humor, intelligence, drive and kindness. May his memory always bring all of us the gift of remembering his bright smile, witty come backs and positive energy.

Deepest sympathy to the family. I have special memories of Barry from many years ago when he was in the Dad & I program at the JCC with his kids. 

Barry was a friend of my brother Max Shapiro and myself.  He had a great sense of humor and I will never forget him in his convertible in our driveway in the early 60’s.  He was holding up the receiver to a phone and talking into it.  He was way ahead of his time.

Barry was truly the GOAT this world has seen, and it was an honor and a privilege to call him my friend, my Chief.  My heart is broken.  I 
never met a man who loved his family like he did.  He is going to be so greatly missed. We'll never forget you.  Thank you for all the laughs, talks and encouragement.  We love you!  Theresa,  Chuck, Kyle & Vance 

Barry was the best!  I will always remember his infectious laugh, his silly jokes and above all him being the coolest dad ever for taking Allison and I to the NKOTB concert and getting us backstage passes!!! I had so much fun as a kid at your house. 

My deepest condolences on the loss of a wonderful father, husband and friend… he will be missed by anyone lucky enough to know him.

Dear Sharon, Allison, Cory and your entire family.

Chris & I are heartbroken about Barry's passing. He was a wonderful human being, and a good friend  for 35 years. We'll miss our dinners together, and I'll miss his being a part of the Romeo lunches with the guys, even though he couldn't hear a word I was saying. Please accept our sincere condolences, and enjoy the wonderful memories you all have of him.
