It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Linda Angela Murphy on May 5th, 2024 in Saint-Lambert, Quebec at the age of 64. Linda passed at home, surrounded by her family's loving embrace, after a long battle with cancer.
Born to Aline Grisé and Carl Murphy on April 16th, 1960, Linda was the fourth of five sisters. She will be forever remembered for her caring nature and her community involvement. For over 35 years, she served as an integral part of G.W. Clark & Co., eventually becoming co-owner with her husband, Peter Harrison. Their travel business was a mainstay in Saint-Lambert for 84 years. She loved her community, dedicating her time and energy to the Saint-Lambert Figure Skating Club for nearly 10 years, an involvement that lives on through her daughter Amanda.
Linda was so many things to so many of us: expert chef, eager concert-goer, exceptional travel companion, shopaholic, word game enthusiast, but most importantly, the best mom, wife, sister and friend that anyone could ask for.
Linda will be deeply missed by her husband of 31 years, Peter (Harrison), and her daughter, Amanda (Harrison). She is predeceased by her mother and father, Aline and Carl, and leaves in mourning her sisters, Kathleen (MacKinnon), Sandi, Terri and Nancy; the Harrison family, Bobby and Mel, Gordie and Suzanne, Karen, Missy and Gordie, as well as many other family, friends and former colleagues and members of the community.
Never one for tradition, Linda wanted to welcome all to attend her celebration of life, to be held on Friday, May 31st, 2024, between 5:30 PM and 10 PM at L’Échoppe Des Fromages (205 Ave Saint-Denis, Saint-Lambert, Quebec J4P 2G4). Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Linda’s honour would be most appreciated.
