It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lena Kwok Lavoie on May 26, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on November 2, 1942, in Hong Kong, she was the beloved daughter of Tsang Pik Ngar and Kwok Cheung Kan.
Lena is survived by her loving son, Gabriel, her daughter-in-law, Sandy, and her cherished grandson, Isaac. She also leaves behind many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends, former coworkers, and extended family who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Lena dedicated 39 years of her professional life to the International Trade Department at the Royal Bank of Canada, where she was known for her remarkable personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met, even after a single encounter. Lena had an insatiable appetite for both food and life, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and joy. She was also an avid reader who enjoyed immersing herself in thrilling spy novels.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, located at 307 Promenade Riverside, St-Lambert, QC, J4P 1A7. Light refreshments will be served from noon to 2 p.m.
