my sweet friend..you have left me heart broken..day by day  i shall get stronger..we have had lots of pleasant times with you..your smile shall always stay with me...its hard but you no longer suffer..i hold the memories we had close to my heart... love always 


My deepest condolences go out to family members and friends of Carol during this poignant time. 

I never forgot the thoughtful generosity Carol showed me when I was a teenager.

I was already close friends with her daughter Pam at the time, who must have told her mum about my love of fashion and design - a love that Carol also shared. One day, Carol kindly gifted me a finely tailored ladies suit jacket that she no longer wore. As a young teen, this jacket was the nicest item of tailored clothing that I possessed, and it added a touch of elegance and sophistication to my edgy style at the time. I remembered it with such clarity, a fine black wool crepe with bemberg lining.

Later on, I ended up pursuing my studies in Fashion Design.  At my commencement fashion show, I remember Carol’s presence along with Pam and feeling so grateful for their show of support. 

I will remember Carol as a woman of unassuming elegance and style, and a devoted and loving mother to you all.

As an immigrant family we boarded the Aquitania in Feb. 1948 sailing to our new home land - Canada.  Carole was dressed in her lovely new dress. We lived in White Rock  before moving to Vancouver Island.  Carole attended several schools; one in Bamberton, another in Cobble Hill,  then Cowichan High in Duncan.  She was always creative & an artist thru & thru.  Fashion was her biggest passion.   She made her mark in many areas.   She loved to dream about what she would be in this  world. Carole & I shared many exciting & fun experiences.  Life in our new country was not easy.  So we made our own fun.  With no relative in Canada, family was small-our  parents,  brother Michael & me . Carole always dreamed of returning to England. At a very young age after high school graduation, she boarded another ship & returned to England. She loved it and Blossomed. She worked for Madam Vernier, Princess Alexandra's milliner & Fashion Ikon -of New York - Tahari    Her letters home were reminiscent of E Type Jags & handsome men, Ballroom Dancing, travels to Europe +++Cruising  & more. She became a very sophisticated & a beautiful young woman.  Again, she dreamed more dreams & one of marrying & a family.  She boarded another ship  returning to Canada in the 60's.  What an experience.  My sister finally came home to Vancouver.  She enjoyed her new life once again.  Her dream of having a family began with marrying & becoming a Mum to Donald, then Pamela G. & Karen.  Carole & her family shared many Christmas's with lots of laughs & family times.   Some of her dreams came true with her children,  parents, brother & sister, lovely meals & magical Christmases - Father Christmas & animals, lovely decorations & Beautiful dresses  As time passed she renovated houses & condos, bought & sold several properties & did very well.  Not all her dreams came true. 
Her health failed her  but she Praised The Lord and passed into Heaven, into the arms of her Lord.
