Bernice Brassard McNeilly

We celebrate the life of a courageous and beautiful woman who passed away peacefully in a warm, caring environment at La Maison Source Bleue in Boucherville at 10 AM on Monday, July 15, 2013. Beloved wife of Leonard McNeilly, devoted mother of Stephen (Melody), David (April), and Catherine, (deceased in 2001) (Vaughn Faithe). Bernice was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 1962 as part of the Soldiers of Christ Session. Along with her husband Leonard she held various appointments in Canada, France and Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo) before retiring in 2001. In retirement Bernice continued to invest in others as a counsellor seeing clients right up until June of this year. She will be missed by her grandchildren Alexander, Benjamin, Rebekah, Hannah, Rachel, Miriam, Caleb, Ryan, and Charlie; her brothers and sisters Roger (Carmela), Claude (Diane), Claudette (Bruce), and Marcel (Lorraine); Leonard’s brothers and sisters Fred, Ivan (Elsie), and Mildred; her numerous nephews and nieces, extended family and friends and the many people to whom she ministered in the name of Jesus. Visitation at Collins, Clarke, MacGillivray, White Funeral Home, St.Lambert,on Thursday, July 18th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Friday, July 19th from 10:00 to 11:00 am.,followed by a chapel service at 11:00 am. Burial service at Les Jardins Laurentides, Saint-Hubert.
