Our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle and loyal friend Allan has peacefully moved on at 97 years of age after a full and fruitful life, leaving many precious memories as his legacy to his extensive family and network of friends.
Among us here to honour his life and memory are his wife of 44 years, Doreen (nee Sperano), his son James (Jennifer Argue), his daughter Lynn (Hinderle), their families, and Doreen’s family.
Allan, a native of Quebec City, had a diverse career working throughout Quebec in marketing and logistics management roles with Shell Canada for close to 40 years . During his 38 years of retirement Allan remained fully occupied and involved in the community of Saint Lambert - as past President of the Saint Lambert Golf Club, member of the Saint Lambert Curling Club and the Seaway Swingers Square Dancing Group and longtime member of Saint Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church.
Allan remained an avid golfer until this past summer, driving himself to golf and his other activities. He leaves behind a vast treasure of special shared life experiences and we will surely miss him, but always remember him.
A visitation open to all family and friends will be held on Wednesday December 14 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at:
Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, Dignity Memorial, 307 Promenade Riverside (entrance via Argyle)
Saint Lambert, 514-483-1870
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to contribute in Allan’s name to the charity or cause of your
choice.
