So terribly sorry to hear about this. I hadn't seen Ross in years but I still have memories of him while growing up. My deepest condolences to the entire family. No matter when our loved ones leave us, it's always too soon.

I only new Ross from work but he was the first face I saw every morning and would always listen to me complain about all my favourite teams.  We had some great talks about football but I’m not surprised to read about all the fine things he did for others.

We knew Ross from when he lived with Jimmy at "4545" in N.D.G. in the 80's.
Jimmy and Ross lived next door to Carmen and I, Moe on the other side, and Eileen next to Moe. IT WAS A BLAST! so thanks for the fun and I hope that the family he left behind doesn't suffer too much. I can still hear that low gravelly voice..

Seems like not so long ago  we all watched Ross,clad in the customary green and white stripes.race down the right wing ,cut back to the middle before sending  a perfect cross onto the head of one of his teammates. Another perfect helper from a guy who would continue to help all those he came across for the balance of his life.
As with all of you who read this ,i will remember all the laughter we shared over the years. No doubt it will be sorely missed.

I was saddened to hear of Ross’s passing. I remember Ross as always a genuinely friendly guy, he coached my daughters soccer team, and other community events. Just a good guy gone too early. May you rest peacefully Ross and my sincere condolences to his family.

Goodbye old friend, I’m sorry you had to leave us so soon. I remember when we were camping, Joe and Ken had gone fishing and Brenda and I were at the campground and Ross shows up with a brown bag, put it in the table and it moved across the table, we were like what the heck is this! Ross was a great guy ! We worked  many years together at my printing company in Pointe Claire. Many good memories ... 
We  always looked forward to the World Juniors or any major hockey tournament , we would play hooky and end up at the Hymus Tavern... always hoping for overtime or a shoot out .. LOL !

My fondest memories of Ross was from our very competitive  Sunday Morning Ball Hockey League in various Playgrounds in Tomo.  Win or lose he always had a Carefree Attitude and was always willing to share a yarn over a beer or two after the games.  He always had something going....and it was always for the benefit of others. When you mention growing up in a small town and all the friends  that "town folk" bring to your life.....well, you pretty much describe Ross.  Rest easy Buddy, you deserve it. 

God speed my friend, hopefully you're with your Mum and Dad looking over us. I can't explain the emptiness I feel inside. You may be gone but you'll never be forgotten. A legend in Two Mountains. Rest in Peace Rusty!!

Hey there Buddy, nothing I say here can match your incredible impact on my life and so many others as well. Too many memories to share just one but will remember them all fondly. Still cant believe it, will never hear your distinctive voice, joyous laugh and always kind and generous words.
I not only lost a friend, I lost a part of myself, the best part of myself....you!!
Please be safe and happy wherever that great beyond is. They are much richer for their gain and we so much poorer for our loss yet still grateful for having you in our lives.

Ross,  we are going to miss that unmistakable voice of yours.  You were an avid outdoorsman(camper). I recall the time we trekked to the top of Ampersand mountain in the adirondacks. That was a great fall camping trip. Also do not forget our "evenings at the A.I" . Cheers old pal
