Peter Vitale

Peter Vitale of Clinton Township passed away from A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s disease) on February 19th, at 72 years of age. He was born January 5, 1946, in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Peter & Levia Vitale. Peter is the beloved husband of Michele (nee Fremont); loving father of Manny Vitale. Peter is also survived by his siblings, Frank (Sandy)Vitale, Virginia (Tony) Cassise, Mickey Vitale; brother in law to Joanne Commyn, Linda Elias, Mike (Deb) Fremont, Tony (Joanne) Hildebrandt; a loving aunt Barbara Carlson; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family members and many many dear and loving friends. He will be greatly missed. Peter was preceded in death by a brother, Gus Vitale, and a brother-in-law, Paul Elias. The family will greet friends, on Friday, February 23, from 3:00 until 8:00pm with a 7pm Prayer service at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081. Peter will lie in state from 11:00 until the time of Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 24th at 11:30am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church (Little Mack and Martin Road). Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
