Paul Gerhard Schneider, age 80, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Born on June 05, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, Paul was a dedicated husband of 58 years to his wife Shirley, a loving father to Ralph Lambert, Mathew (Sri) Lambert, Ginger (Spartak Allamani) Young and Gerhard (Regina Cooper) Schneider; cherished grandfather to Rusti Young, Gerhard Young, Ritchie Lambert and Kirsten Lambert; great grandfather to Hunter, Emma and Audrey; loving brother to Sylvia, Sandra and Eric.
Paul received his Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship in the trade of Die Maker and went on to have a fulfilling career for Daimler Chrysler. His commitment and passion for his work were evident to all who knew him.
Outside of his professional life, Paul had a diverse range of hobbies and interests. He was a talented gymnast and dedicated member of various athletic clubs, including Tuners. Paul was actively involved in multiple bowling leagues, volleyball, softball and golf. His participation in these activities brought him immense joy and allowed him to connect with his community.
Those who knew Paul remember him as a kind and selfless individual who always went out of his way to help others. While he may have been a bit of a pain at times, it was these unique qualities that endeared him to his family and friends.
Paul Gerhard Schneider will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
A Memorial Visitation will take place Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11 am until the time of the Memorial Service which is at 12:30 pm.
