Patricia A. Smith

Patricia Ann Smith, age 74, passed May 24, 2012. Loving wife of Charles Smith, II; mother of Charles (Linda), III, Denise (Bruce) Hakala, Kathy (James) Seeley, Diana Turchick, Bradley (Linda), and Scott (Deborah); grandmother of Charles IV, Erik, Benjamin, Lindsey, James II, Lauren, Jeffrey, Justin, Jenna, Megan, Isaac, Nina Patricia, Ian, Nicole, Scotty, Carl and Garret, great-grandmother of Tyler and Luke; sister of Raymond (Sharon) Northup and Priscilla (Ralph) Bauldry and sister-in-law of Peggy Northup. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Pat is recently predeceased by her sister Carole Herman.

Pat was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 15, 1937 to Marie Massie and Richard Northup. She was married on March 27, 1954 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Pat was a member of the St. Paul Ladies Guild, from whom she received the Woman of the Year award in 2010. She has been awarded Mother of the Year for 57 years by her children.

Visitation Monday, May 28, 3 - 9 pm, Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Pat will lie in-state Tuesday from 10 am until time of funeral service, 11 am, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 22915 Greater Mack Ave., St. Clair Shores.
