Muriel Agnes McKay

Muriel Agnes McKay, age 90, passed away on April 9, 2022. She was born on June 5, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to her late parents Walter and Agnes Burkel. Muriel is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Patrick; loving children: Kevin (BetteJo), the late Diane (Garry) Kalinsky, Kenneth (Sarah); dear grandchildren: Bryan, Ken, Patrick, Scott, Erin, Daniel, Kelly, Miriam, Kasey; and great-grandchildren: Owyn, Henryk, John, James, Connor, Colleen, Patrick, Kevin, Robert, Elizabeth “Lizzy”, Adalynn, Nolan, Aiden, Jackson, and Ella. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Frances Burkel, Norbert Burkel, and Ronald Burkel. Muriel loved the Detroit Tigers; she also enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, square dancing with Patrick, going up north to their cottage at Houghton Lake, baking cookies and pies and canning. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church. A funeral mass will take place on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. (Instate 10:00 a.m.) at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21100 Madison St., St. Clair Shores, MI 48081.
