Joann Elaine Wurm, age 86, formerly of Detroit and St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away in Phoenix, AZ on June 7, 2022. She was born on December 2, 1935 to the proud parents of Henry and Dorothy Schimansky. Joann was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late David Wurm. She is the loving mother to Joseph (Nancy) Wurm, Carol (Gary) Grimm, Mary (Randy) Schupp, Elaine Wurm, and Eileen (Kerry) Bernard. Joann is the cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is the dear sister to Thomas (Lou Ann) Schimansky. Joann was a friend of Bill W. for over 41 years.
Visitation will take place on Friday June 17, 2022, from 3:00 – 8:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm Rosary followed by a family sharing of memories, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Joann will lie in-state on Saturday June 18, 2022, beginning at 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10:00 am, at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish 21201 E. 13 Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48082.
