Jeffrey Dennis Shovein

Jeffrey D. Shovein, age 67 of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away peacefully in his home on July 3, 2021. He was born on November 27, 1953 to the proud parents of Harlan and Geraldine Shovein. Jeffrey is the beloved husband to Darlene M. Shovein for 43 years. He is the beloved father to Candace (Tim) Karrer, Heather (Devin June) Shovein. Jeffrey is the cherished grandfather to Felix Karrer, Leland Karrer and a third grandchild on the way. He is the dear brother to Harlan (Sherrill) Shovein, Richard (Linda) Shovein, Karen (Bob) Shovein, Marcie (Dan) Shovein-Chicklas, Bart (Pam) Shovein, Mary Beth Teolis, and Angela Maynard-Shovein. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his two parents, sister Susan (Paul) DeBusschere and brother Timothy Shovein. Jeffrey retired from Chrysler after 37 years working as a die maker. He spent his retired years traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandkids, throwing horseshoes and enjoying mornings sitting in his garden. Jeffrey was an avid Detroit sports fan and loved watching and attending Detroit Tigers baseball games. Family will receive friends on Friday July 9, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
