Jim was a 1972 graduate of Austin Catholic High School. He continued his education at Wayne State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a master's degree in social work. He enjoyed a long career with Blue Cross of Michigan and his eventual retirement.
Jim was a sports enthusiast and avid runner and always was available for a pickup game of basketball. He will be remembered for his humor. He was always ready to share a laugh with family and friends as a kind hearted and generous soul who was quick to respond to those around him in need.
Jim was predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Livingston. He is survived by his father, Norman; sisters, Kathleen Cucchi (Robert) and Maureen (Douglas) Moseley; brothers, John, William (Jill) and Timothy; his beloved nieces and nephews; and his cherished friend, Darcie Livingston.
A funeral Mass takes place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic Church, 1401 Whittier, Grosse Pointe Park. He will lie in state at 10 a.m. A reception will follow.
