I grew up on Beverly and used to ride my bike down to George's station and the corner store. Buying a Yohoo from his machine was always a treat. He was always very friendly and had a smile! At night sometimes my Dad would wander down there to hang out with him. Great memories, great man! He will be missed.

i did not know george very well,what contact i had with him he was a very nice likable person and i i know he will be missed very much!

Everyone was always welcome at the Kravitz house. I spent so much time at their house summers and weekends. So many great memories. One that comes to mind is when he went to Maine and brought back a bunch of lobster...we had a great family lobster cookout at grandmas... Thanks for all the memories and don't get into too much trouble up there xoxo your niece Tracy

Aunt Pat, Mary, John, George and Laura all our prayers and thoughts are with you. Uncle George was always fun to be around and a special uncle. I am grateful for the memories I have going back to when I was a little kid in the Shores. There were so many times when I would look at him while certain family members would be speaking from their soap boxes and I knew he was waiting for that perfect moment to make a comedic genius comment. He never failed to deliver. (Of course he did learn from the best - Grandpa Pete). We will miss him greatly.I guess Grandma and Aunt Kate have someone to check up on them again.

The Lee family have so many memories with George and Pat. My personal memories start with Pat and George taking us, Chuck and Gloria Lee kids to seeing 101 Dalmations at the drive-in. Pat and George were just dating if I remember correctly.  And then in 1968 is when George came up to Oscoda to deer camp at the Bores Nest. We had a BALL!  Snowmobiling  from their trailer on seven mile hill!  :)  SO MANY GREAT TIME!!  George, you will be missed but NEVER out of our hearts.   Ron Lee

Uncle, you were the most forgiving, understanding, giving, person you always welcomed family and any friend with your great smile . you would go out of your way to help out anyone in need I will always remember plowing snow or just hanging out at the station with you. Thank you for helping me out when i was young and also when I was older you never gave up on me for that i thank you, you were an outstanding Godfather couldnt have asked for more. You raised outstanding children that carry your values you lived life to its fullest you were an inspiration and a pleasure to be around smooth sailing sailor and fair winds I will think of you often thank you for everything you have done for me all my love

I will remember my Uncle and how he always had an open door for his nieces and nephews at his and my Aunt Pat's house, I remember the summers I would hang out with all my cousin's and Uncle George would come in from the gas station and say "What are you kids doing",I think he was trying to scare us. He always looked out for me and was making sure my car was always safe for me to drive. I love you Uncle George, I hope you are golfing, playing cards, and having fun on the high seas. George and Pat were two people My wife and Jan were fortunate to know in the "real world" and in our "unit. I'm sure a lot of "mates" will remember this man of such a "joyous outlook on life. I won't forget that "shindig" he put together for the "gang" at one of our "A/T's in Florida. I'll miss ya "Partner" !

I cherish the great memories I have of my uncle and I will never forget the great man he was. I love you and miss you Uncle.

I have been down since learning that George has passed. Peggy and I wish him fair winds and calm seas. I do know he was a great designated driver and was a great person and fried. He will be missed. Our deep sympathy to his family and friends.

Pat and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Even though I worked with him a short time in the Navy Reserves he did manage to leave his imprint on me. He was always so happy an likeable to who ever he talked with, coached or just being a friend. Every year at the reunions I could always count on you and George to be there. You both shared so many memoires about those Navy days. I am so glad that I have gotten to know you and enjoy the time with both of you at the reunions. May God Bless and help you with your grief. It brought tears to my eyes to hear of the loss of my childhood neighbor Mr. Kravitz. What a blessing it was to have a true caring and friendly neighbor like him.  As I continue to cherish the memories of my childhood I will always see the hearty smile Mr. Kravitz had when he gave a wave and would say hello. I pray that God will give Mrs. Kravitz and family the strength to carry on without him.

Mrs. Kravitz, my my condolences on George's passing.  I was in the same reserve unit with George when he “came back” to the Navy.  George was an outstanding Naval Reservist and set an example for all of us copy.  Most of all, George was a very friendly person who would do anything to help anyone!  He was fun to be with.  I will always have great memories of the limited time I spent with him.  I am truly honored to have served with George.

The first memory that comes to my mind of George, was in his uniform, so very handsome, and he captured my young heart.
