Lorna (Hutcheon) McGregor

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Lorna Elizabeth McGregor, at the age of 80, daughter of late Elizabeth Hutcheon and James (Jim) Hutcheon. Lorna passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 8th. Lorna was born on November 16, 1937 in Aberdeen, Scotland and later as an adult, relocated to Canada. This year celebrated 56 years in St. Catharines, always remaining proud of her Scottish heritage.

Lorna will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend always putting others before herself. She had the most generous and loving heart, touching many lives along her journey. Her vibrant personality overfilled any room and will be dearly missed in years to come. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life.

Beloved wife of Donald McGregor for 49 years. Cherished mother of Andrew and Scott and daughter-in-laws, Alison and Jennifer. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Cameron, Rachel and Rayne, and cousin to Irene Burnett.

A celebration of Lorna’s life will take place on Monday, April 16th at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church St., St. Catharines. Visitation between 10am-11am with service to follow at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Lorna’s honour to The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
