Passed away at Henley House on August 31st, 2019 in his 98th year. Bucky was predeceased by his loving wife, Janet (Jennie McSporran) in 1999. He is survived by his daughter Jan Gilmore (Hugh) and his sons Larry (Diane) and Brian (Barbara). Also survived by Grandchildren Scott (Krista), Brent and Great-Grandchildren Lauryn, Colin and Kyle. He is survived by his wife Mary, and his sister Joyce (Bill) Grishkewich.
Bucky served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and completed 39 missions as a Rear Gunner in Lancaster and Halifax Bombers during World War II.
He coached and managed various teams in Legion Branch 24 Minor Sports Programs in the 1950s to the late 1960s. He served on the Executive and was a Past President of Branch 24 Royal Canadian Legion, St. Catharines in 1971, 1972 and 1973. He was a lifetime member of the Legion.
Bucky was an employee of the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority until his retirement in 1978 as a Public Relations Officer.

Friends will be received at the Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel; 75 Church St., St. Catharines (905-684-6346) on Thursday, September 5 from 10:30-11:30 am. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11:30 am.
In keeping with Bucky's wishes, cremation will take place. A private inurnment will follow at a later date.
Donations to the Poppy Fund or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 in Bucky's memory would be appreciated by the family.
