Gerold Lienert

Born in Einsieldeln, Switzerland on March 5, 1928, passed away in Oakville, Ontario on June 3, 2010 with his family by his side. Survived by his wife Elizabeth “Betty”, his children; Heidi (Peter Wackett), Gerry (Lee Anne), David, Christine, Nathan and Sarah. Grandfather of Zoe, Nathan, Jack, Madison, Brad, Jeff, Christian and Sophie. Survived by his brother David, nephew Ian and brother in law Vince Lomore. Predeceased by his daughter Stephanie and his sisters; Anna Lienert and Marg Lomore.

Gerry was heavily involved with the St. Catharines Rowing Club in the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s finishing as Head Coach. He was employed for many years with the Port Weller Dry Docks prior to his retirement.

The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 12 o’clock noon. Cremation will follow. If desired, memorial donations made to the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
