Entered into rest peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, June 28, 2024 in the care of Heidehof LTC in St. Catharines. Dorothy, in her 98th year was the beloved wife of the late George Sadler (1977). Loving mum of Christine (Audie), Margaret (the late Jeff) and Susan (Colin). Proud Gramma of Michael (Melissa), Charlotte (Floyd), Adrian and Kevin (Lindsay). Cherished GG of Ksaila, the late Elyssa, Nathaniel, Alynah, Neteece, Mara and Natalie. Not far from Dorothy’s heart and mind were always her siblings, Joe, Peter, and Annie.
In her 98 years, Dorothy faced the loss of both her parents by the age of 9. Saw the awfulness of WWII and her beloved husband, George passed just after her 50th birthday. Dorothy was the embodiment of resilience and we are forever grateful for her fighting spirit. Her strength, creativity and kindness will never be forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, July 4, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
