Norbert (Norb) L. Waeltermann, 96, of St. Peter’s, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. He is preceded in death by wife Virginia Ann "Gin" (Westhus) Waeltermann, his parents; John and Mary (Schniedemeyer), son-in-law David Largent Jr.; grandson, David Largent III; and his siblings; Leonard Waeltermann, Raymond Waeltermann, John Waeltermann, Rose Goodhart-Marr, and Dorothy Myers and grandson-in-law; Keith Nelson.
Norb is survived by his loving children; Barbara (Richard) Schee, Donald (Nancy) Waeltermann, Marilyn Largent, David (Suzanne) Waeltermann, and Mark Waeltermann; grandchildren; Brent (Casey) Brinkmeier, Amy (Chris) Reno, Scott Waeltermann, Rene Nelson, Dawn (Rob) Moeller, Dan Largent, Roxanne Coghlan, and Ryan Waeltermann; 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great granddaughters.
Norb enjoyed boating on the Mississippi and then at Lake of the Ozarks where the family would gather on weekends. He enjoyed bowling into his 90’s, golfing and had a great love for traveling the United States, with Gin in their fifth wheel. But his greatest love of all was his family and always enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He worked as an electrical contractor for Paul Wendt Electric for over 35 years and was also a 75-year member of the IBEW local 1. After retiring, Norb and his wife Gin moved to Florida where they resided for 30 years, while in Largo, FL, they attended St. Matthew Catholic Church and were previous members of St. Dismas Catholic Church in Florissant. Norb proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II European Theater. In 2019 Norb went on the Honor Flight to Washington, DC., with his son Donald as his Guardian.
