Margaret Ann Cain, aged 100, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A centenarian whose life was filled with warmth, adventure, and dedication to those she cherished, Margaret left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Margaret was preceded in death by Anton Reinbold, Magdalena Heide, Charles Wittrock, John Lester Cain, John Lewis Cain, and all her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by Tamara Krist, Kayla Downs (Jon), Andrew Krist (Jordyn), Amanda Brewer (Ryan), nieces, nephews, and her treasured great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
A true lover of life’s simple pleasures, Margaret found happiness in countless pursuits. She adored playing bingo, cheering on her favorite team—the Saint Louis Cardinals—and embarking on cross-country travels with her husband in their motorhome. Margaret was a gifted crocheter and delighted in sharing her handmade creations with her family and friends. She took daily walks well into her later years, remaining active and vibrant, and bowled with The Wyndham Park Team until the remarkable age of 94.
Margaret’s unwavering love for her family and her zest for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and joy, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
Rest in peace, Margaret. Your hundred years were a testament to a life well-lived, and you will be forever loved.
A Visitation for Margaret will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1355 Motherhead Rd, Cottleville, MO 63304. The Funeral Mass will occur immediately after at the same location. The Committal will follow at 12:20 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5200 Lucas and Hunt Rd, St. Louis, MO 63121.
