Leamon Counts, age 94, of Saint Ann, Missouri, was born on February 7, 1930, and passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife Georgia, son Doyle, and son-in-law Wesley Davis. He is survived by his daughters Patricia and Marilyn, granddaughter Ashley Embrey and husband Eric. Leamon was one of thirteen children, all of whom have passed.
Leamon loved his wife and children and worked hard to provide them with a secure home. He was an amateur carpenter and could make something from a simple picture frame to a two-car garage. He had a "green thumb" and rivaled Johnny Appleseed when he planted trees in his St. Ann neighborhood. He enjoyed telling humorous stories and jokes. He never failed to deliver the punch line. He was known for wearing suits and ties, and in his younger days he wore dapper hats.
Leamon committed his life to Christ as a young man. He quickly became an avid Bible student. He had the ability to make stories from the Bible come alive. He was a member of the Church of Christ and would share the Good News with anyone who would listen. He was bold and steadfast in his beliefs and dedicated his life to doing God's will. His goal was to be with his Heavenly Father. That task has been achieved.
A funeral service for Leamon will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM, at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, with burial following at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
