Mary Sue Kirkpatrick

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Louis Kirkpatrick, and her parents, William B. Mears and Elizabeth W. Wagener. She is survived by her children, Lindsey (Kurt) Burkhalter, Springfield, VA, Laura (Barry) Hunt, Leesburg VA, and Linda (Chuck) Shull, Greensboro, NC; eight grandchildren, Becky (Brian) Muller, Mary (Tom) Harris, Jennifer (Jeremy) Smith, Allison (Brendan) Peacor, Morgan Hunt, Brian Burkhalter, Gavin Hunt, and Christopher Burkhalter; and three great-grandchildren, Caden, Addison, and Collins Muller; her sisters, Carolyn (Earl) Dixon, Melbourne, FL, Christine (Larry Foust) Wagener, Houston, TX, and Linda Folk, Annandale VA.

Visitation will be Monday, September 3, 6 to 8 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA. Burial will be at 9 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, at Quantico National Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 6320 Hanover Avenue, Springfield, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Christopher's Episcopal Memorial Fund or the American Cancer Society.
