John B. Sellman passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021 at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Eugene and Lucile.
He was born May 20, 1932 in Louisville, KY. He graduated from Saint Xavier High School in 1950 and Bellarmine College (now University) in 1955. Mr. Sellman relocated with his family to Virginia in 1965 where he spent most of his career working for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Mr. Sellman was married to Helen Jane Clifford for 30 years before their divorce in 1986; he later married Reita Garraghty Campbell; they divorced in 1998.
He is survived by his three children, Lee Ann, Jack (Cindy) and Brian (Maryanne), four grand-children and eight great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled later in 2022 when health restrictions on gatherings have been relaxed. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
