James Gerald Meadows

James (Jim) Gerald Meadows, 87, went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2017 at his home in Springfield, Virginia following his long battle with Alzheimer’s. Jim was born on September 21, 1930 in Washington, DC to the late William Meadows and Mary S. Meadows. Jim completed his Undergraduate and Master’s degree from the University of Maryland and had a successful career in the Government working for FAA. Jim was a devoted father and grandfather and his love of his family were his primary focus. In addition to his honesty, integrity and optimism, he will always be remembered for his boundless knowledge and passion for American history and politics. Jim is survived by his older brother Richard, loving daughter, Linh, her husband Nimo and 3 wonderful grandchildren, Chloe, Mason and Carson. A memorial service for James will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151.
