OBITUARY
Ethan Moran
29 June, 1997 – 28 January, 2023
IN THE CARE OF
Demaine Funeral Home
With deep sorrow we inform you that Ethan Moran, of Springfield, Virginia, passed away suddenly on January 28th 2023. He is survived by his beloved family: his mother, Karen Moran, his father Daniel Moran, sister, Emily Haseler (husband, Chris Haseler), his grandparents Sylvia and George Strumpf, Marilyn Greene, Emerson Moran and by his aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Ethan was a very bright, talented and sensitive young man. He was devoted to his family and was always “there” to offer support and assistance, especially in times of need. He was deeply concerned about the social issues in his community, our country, and in the world. In his passion for all aspects of world history and current events, he was insightful and conversant in the details of a broad range of topics and happy to engage in dialogue and debate. He loved hiking, canoeing and kayaking, and was an avid sports fan from the time he was a young boy. He had a special place in his heart for his animal friends: all dogs, cats and horses.
Ethan’s passing is a tragic loss to his family, his friends, and his community.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday February 4, 2023 from 2-6pm at Demaine Funeral Home located at 5308 Backlick Rd. Springfield, Va. 22151. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to The National Alliance on Mental Illness will be appreciated.
