Gloria went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2021, while at home and surrounded by her devoted husband and three loving children.
Gloria was born in Arizona to William and Neva. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston. She was also a Certified Public Accountant working for major accounting firms and the Department of Justice. She and Ted were married in December 1971. They raised three children together over Ted’s 30 years of active military duty in the Air Force.
Gloria most enjoyed spending time with Ted. The deep, binding love and companionship they had for each other took them all over the world. She also had a passion for gardening, creating a beautiful yard while at home. She loved people and was, in turn, loved by everyone. Everyone from her ABF/Table 1 church family, her colleagues at work, and even complete strangers experienced her laughter, optimism, and warmth. Gloria’s hope was that her life would bring others to Jesus so they would experience the unconditional love she received.
Gloria is preceded in death by her father, William, and her mother, Neva. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Ted; her daughter Teri, husband Brian, and their son Bren; her son Chris, wife Julie, and their son Joshua; her daughter Carrie, husband Vittorio, and their furbabies (Tiger and Tigger); and siblings Francis, Don, and Vivian.
The visitation is on Thursday, February 11, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at the Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA.
The funeral service is Friday, February 12, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, VA. Please consider attending via livestream: https://youtu.be/SjjqtVH8ZXA
Gloria will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
