Of Springfield, on June 22, at the age of 58. Beloved son of Doris and the late Everett Chittum; caring father of Cindy Thomas and Chris Chittum; dear grandfather of Brian Chittum and Jeremy Thomas; brother of Janet Cochran, Gary Chittum, Betty Ratcliffe, and Donna Chittum; also survived by many nieces and nephews. His dogs Tootsie and Foxy were important members of his family as well. Family and friends welcome at Demaine Funeral Home, Backlick and Edsall Roads, Springfield on Thursday, June 27 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10 am. Entombment, Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Dave’s memory to the American Heart Association.
