Charles E. Griffith

Charles Everette Griffith, known to his loved ones as Chuck, passed away on February 17, 2024, in Springfield, VA at Crystal Gardens at the age of 83. Chuck was born on February 1, 1941. He was a funny, gentle, and kind man with a huge heart, always ready with a hug, a helping hand, or a joke. His warm personality endeared him to both people and animals alike. Chuck will be forever loved, remembered, and missed by all who knew him. Chuck is survived by his daughter, Catherine Burke, and son-in-law, Shawn Burke; granddaughters Katelyn Smith, Carolina Burke, and Josephine Burke; and sister-in-law, Christine Griffith. He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lucille Griffith; father, Everette Francis Griffith; wife, Carolyn Welch Griffith; son, Charles Everette Griffith, Jr; and brother, Robert Lee Griffith. Memorial services for Chuck will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, starting with a viewing at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA from 10:30am to 12:30pm, followed by interment at Fairfax Memorial Garden at 2:00pm.
