Walter L Johnson

Known by his family and friends as Wally, was born in Chicago, January 12, 1948 the son of Walter and Helen (Zahnen) Johnson. His parents preceded him in death.

Wally married Linda Robbins in Chicago, February 4, 1983 and she survives. He is also survived by his twin sons, Reid of Seattle, WA and Reece of Charlotte, NC, and his brother, Paul (Christine) Johnson of Sycamore, IL.

Wally had semi-retired but remained part time with Horace-Mann Insurance Co. where he served as a senior systems programmer. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Wally was also very involved with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 901 in Chicago, was an accomplished Chess player, enjoyed stamp collecting and was well known for his talent in growing Orchids.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may direct memorial contributions in his memory to the Boy Scouts of America.
