Stella B. Davidson

Stella was born December 19, 1917, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of John and Mary Yucius Tweryon.

She married John S. Davidson on November 6, 1939. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1994.

Stella was a lifelong resident of Springfield, IL. She retired from Springfield City, Water, Light and Power in 1966.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society, and A.A.R.P.

Stella was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John, Anthony, Simon, and Tony; son, James; son-in-law, John Bauer; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Davidson; and two great-grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Davidson

She is survived by two children, Mary Bauer of Raytown, MO., and John S. Davidson, Jr. of Pawnee, IL; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren (43); and several nephews.

Visitation for Stella will be Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM at Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th Street in Springfield.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 1725 S. Walnut Street in Springfield with Father Jeff Grant, officiant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.

The family is being served by Butler Funeral Homes- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
