Sheila Rae Ritter

Shelia was born on April 6, 1937 in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Earl and Clarice (Paul) Nicholson. Shelia married Robert Ritter on April 10, 1960 in Forreston, IL. They celebrated nearly 53 years of marriage together, he survives her. Shelia and Robert are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Springfield. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with Robert in their RV.

Also surviving are her children; Bryan (Amy) Ritter, Barry (companion Christine Smith) Ritter, Julie (Rick) Thompson, her grandchildren; Alison, Melissa, Hunter, Sydney, Dakota, Brittany, Nicole, and Karley.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11 am, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2477 W Washington St, Springfield, IL 62702. Rev. Greg Busboom will conduct the service.

Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of services at the church.

Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2 pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeport, IL.
