Rita M. LaHart, 77, of Springfield, died at 11:37 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2003 at her home. Rita was born June 11, 1926 in Chicago, the daughter of Henry and Elsie Alexander Cavanaugh. She married Jack LaHart May 30, 1947 in Chicago; he preceded her in death June 1997. Mrs. LaHart was employed by Barber Coleman and later by Horace Mann Insurance Companies where she retired. She was a member of Church of the Little Flower and St. Theresa’s Guild at Church of the Little Flower. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Cavanaugh. She is survived by two daughters: Janet (husband, Raymond) Isaia of San Antonio, TX, Barbara (husband, Joseph) Miller of Springfield; four grandchildren: USAF Captain Amy Isaia, PhD of Dayton, OH, Army Specialist Christopher (wife, Barbara) Isaia of Germany, Jennifer Miller of Springfield, Joey Miller of Springfield and one sister: LaVerne Cavanaugh of Springfield. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2003 with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2003 at Church of the Little Flower with Fr. Chuck Edwards celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
