Randy was born on February 16, 1958, in Centralia, IL, the son of Burr and Betty Frederick.
Randy was a graduate of Waterman High School. He enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school, which led him to California. Randy also lived in Shreveport, LA before moving back to Springfield to be closer to family. He worked for Flag Trucking in Riverton for many years. Randy enjoyed fishing and camping in his younger years and always took enjoyment in the outdoors. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved German Shepherd, BooRay.
He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Baptiste of Springfield; brother, Jerry Frederick; close friends whom he considered family, Julie Horton of Sherman and Rex Packingham of Riverton; and many other special friends and neighbors.
Graveside Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Mount Pulaski Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
