He was born in Lafayette, Indiana, December 10, 1926. Paul earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Purdue University and served in the U.S. Army in Japan during WW II, where he received the WW II Victory Medal, the Army of Occupation Medal Japan, and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky, sons Dr. James W. (wife Christie) Davis of Springfield, and Atty. John P. (wife Sara) Davis of Maineville, Ohio, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sisters Marqueta Landis of Venice, Florida and Janice Harris of Lafayette, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John, sisters Henrietta Brooks and Ruth Braun, and granddaughter Dr. Angela C. Davis Siterlet.
Paul was Director of Quality Control and New Products with Pet Incorporated, St. Louis. He is a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Springfield, Trinity Lutheran Church, Florida, Lutheran Layman’s League, Purdue University Alumni Association, and the American Legion.
Concordia Village Chapel Visitation 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Visitation 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, followed by Worship Service at 11 a.m., officiated by Chaplain Jeff Harter and Rev. Edward Melchior (live streamed at: https://www.facebook.com/events/539737970803124). Christian burial with military honors will immediately follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and School Building Fund, Lutheran Hour Ministries, `or the Scholarship Fund at Concordia Village.
