She was born on June 19, 1960 in Pontiac, IL, the daughter of Donald L. and Ella M. (Gerberding) Smith.
Pam was an extremely talented artist and received her Art Degree from Springfield College in IL. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Springfield. She was very proactive about organ donation. Pam will always be remembered by her sweet smile, her love for family and friends, and her strong faith in God.
She is survived by her mother Ella M. Smith of Springfield; 3 sisters, Brenda (husband Dave) Bollhorst of Braidwood, IL, Vicki (husband Curt) Walker of Knoxville, TN, and Debby (husband Forest) Clouser of Springfield; 4 nieces, Ashlyn, Elise, Lyndi, and Amber and a great-nephew on the way, Noah. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 12 Noon until time of the funeral service at 1 pm at First United Methodist Church, 2941 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. The funeral service will also be at the church, with Rev. Dr. Bob Swickard officiating. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Loami, IL.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, First United Methodist Church, Springfield, or Seven Counties Kidney Fund.
