He was born on October 13, 1941, in Bartley, MO, the son of Cecil and Pearl (Ingram) Williams. Lonnie married Carolyn R. Buguveski on January 15, 1966, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Springfield.
Lonnie graduated from Jacksonville High School. He founded several successful businesses and was a long-time member of the Jacksonville area community. Lonnie was a member of the Jacksonville Elks Club. He loved cars, especially corvettes. Lonnie was extremely family-oriented and loved to socialize and travel. He was unique, outgoing, a jokester, and everybody’s friend. He never knew a stranger, was dedicated, generous, hard-working, loving, and was an inquisitive learner. Above all else, Lonnie was a wonderful husband, and an incredible father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cecil Williams, Jr.; and sister, Lucille Steele.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Williams; sons, Jeff (Lori) Williams and Greg Williams; daughter, Andrea Williams; grandchildren, Gannon, Brock, Nina, and Nicole Williams, and Chloe and Caroline Martin; and brothers, Don (Sandy) Williams and Larry (Susan) Williams.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering and Service: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.to 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. A Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
