Linda S. Stafford

Linda was born in Gary, IN, February 3, 1944 the daughter of James and Emily Lucille (Byers) Pearman. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as her sister, Sharon Leefers.

After graduating from High School, Linda went on to attend college and then earned a certificate in medical transcription. She served as a receptionist and clerk at St. John’s Hospital for over 25 years retiring in 2009.

Linda loved her family and enjoyed sharing her recipes with them. She was an avid reader, always keeping up with current events. She liked to work on her computer, enjoyed her flower gardens and traveling to various destinations. She was of the Catholic faith.

Linda is survived by her two children; Kevin (Ira) Burke of Dunbarton, NH, and Karen Zamboni of Henderson, NV. She has 3 grandchildren, Pavel and Katerina Burke and Nicolis Zamboni. Also surviving are her sisters: Mary (Bill) Roberts of Pawnee, IL, Elizabeth (Olen) Eyer of Jacksonville, AR, and Deborah Kauzlarich of Springfield. She has several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory.

A memorial service will be held at the Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. Springfield, IL, at a later date. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee, IL.
