John E. Pyle, 66, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. John was born November 19, 1943 in Springfield, the son of Charles D. and H. Helen Kasper Pile. He married Marilyn K. Unger on November 11, 1967 in Springfield. John was a graduate of Griffin High School and he served his country in the Army. He retired as Captain after 27 years from Sangamon County Sheriff's Department. John was a member of the Illinois Police Association and Sangamon County FOP Lodge #55. He loved his family, enjoyed vegetable gardening, golfing, fishing, being outdoors, woodworking, and his 57' Chevy. He was preceded in death by his parents and half brother, Charles "Buddy" Schwarberg, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Springfield; one son, Matt (Yvonne) Pyle of Springfield; two daughters, Larissa (John) Stork of Decatur and Melissa (Brian) Maloy of Springfield; five grandchildren, Drew Stork, Brady and Ella Maloy and Ava and Aubrey Pyle. John is also survived by Joe Porschart who was like a son; a brother, Richard (Marilyn) Pile of Springfield; half sister, Patty Hauversburk of Springfield and a few nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield with Rev.
