She was born in Springfield, July 25, 1926 the daughter of Jesse M. and Esther E. Painter McGlothlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Sandy, her husbands, George Hartley and Donald Gilmore, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
Jessie retired in 1982 from the Internal Revenue Service after 34 years of service. She was a member of the First church of the Bretheran, AARP, Lincoln Memorial Gardens, Memorial Medical Center Gold Club, St. John's 3rd Age Living at St. John's Hospital and also served there as a Good Samaritan.
Surviving are her two sons; Daniel (Anna) Hartley and Ron Hartley, both of Springfield, her grandchildren; Liz Hartley, Amy Gentry, Stephanie Klinger and Angela Miller, nine great grandchildren; and devoted friends and caretakers; Susan Verardi, Nikki Norris, and Ann Hilosky.
Visitation: The Gilmore family will received friends on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 1-3 pm at Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen Springfield, IL
Funeral Service: A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10:00 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kreston Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
