Janice Lindsay Palmer, 91, of Springfield passed away on September 30, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 22, 1933 in Lyons, Kansas to Lewis Lindsay and Velma Miller Lindsay. Janice married George Wesley Palmer Jr., on December 4, 1954 in Lyons, Kansas and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2002.
Mrs. Palmer is survived by three sons: Lance (Kim) Palmer of Union, KY., David Palmer and Lindsay Palmer of Springfield, three grandchildren: Alexander (Grace) Palmer, Ryan (Lauren) Palmer and Jenny (Matt) Brown and four great-grandchildren.
Janice worked as a bookkeeper at Springfield Southeast High School for over twenty years. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and overseas and shopping at TJ Maxx.
Cremation rites were accorded. The family will greet friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm Monday October 7, 2024 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday October 7, 2024 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
