Hallie was born on October 30, 1930, in Springfield, the daughter of Fred and Lilly May Davis Williams. She married John William Roberts; he preceded her in death on May 3, 2002.
Hallie retired from District 186 after 19 years. She loved supporting her churches, Table of Life and C.C.C.O.G. Hallie also loved yard work, gardening flowers, and most of all, spending time with her family.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Walter Lee Wilson, Joseph Edward Medley, and Paul Lester Herring; her parents; and three siblings.
She is survived by three children, Freddy Louis (Michelle) Medley of Springfield, Janice Smalley of Springfield, and Beverly West-Alexander of Kansas City, MO; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Table of Life Ministries, 2600 South 5th St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jessie M. Herring officiating.
Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Avenue West, Springfield.
