It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Dean Rogers, III, 33, on December 11, 2023. Gary was born on December 24, 1989. As a lover of life and the heart of every gathering, he touched many lives with his caring nature and infectious humor.
Gary grew up in Springfield, IL and the Dallas Fort Worth area. Later, he moved to Texas and then to Richmond, VA where he was recently promoted to a management position at All My Sons Moving Company. His dedication and leadership abilities were inspiring to his colleagues.
His love for new adventures, animals, and family get-togethers were known to all. As a man of many tastes, he would savor anything (but never popcorn), as long as it was accompanied by ranch dressing. His jovial presence would often lighten the mood, making him the life of the party. More than anything, Gary was a man who valued relationships. He deeply cared about his family and friends, always putting their needs above his own. The lessons he shared of kindness, life, love, and the importance of family will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his loving mother and father, Carrie Lynn Page (Ft. Worth, TX) and Gary Dean Rogers, Jr. (Springfield, IL); his stepmother Carrie Sacco (Springfield, IL); his fiancée, Brooke Anastasia Vera (Richmond, VA); his sister, Madison Nicole Page (Marquette, MI); his brothers, Gavin Scott Rogers and Griffin Lewis Rogers (Springfield, IL); his uncle, Brian Mark Santini (Euless, TX), his grandmother, Patricia Sue Santini (Euless, TX); and great grandmother, Edna Earle Pearson of Taylorville, IL. Loving honorary mention goes to his sidekick Luigi (Bubba)! He was preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Rogers, Sr., Grandmother Vicky Poole, Grandfather Nicholas Santini, and his stepfather Markham L. Page (Ft. Worth). Gary has an endless number of relatives and forever friends that will miss his fun and loving presence.
Even as we mourn, we also celebrate Gary's life, cherishing the joy he brought into our lives. In his memory, let us continue to spread the kindness, laughter, and love that he generously shared with us all.
The visitation will be held on January 5th at Bisch & Son Funeral Home at 505 E. Allen in Springfield from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 6th at the Knights of Columbus at 2801 West St. in Springfield from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
