Gary Eugene Hurley Sr. 62, of Springfield, passed away on December 30 at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1958 in Springfield to Glen Leroy Hurley and Mary Louise Summers. Gary married Kendra Lauterbach on September 8, 1979 in Springfield and she survives.
Mr. Hurley is survived by two children: Gary (Jamie) Hurley of Springfield and Melissa (fiancé Chad Gray) Hurley of Williamsville, three grandchildren: Dylan (companion Juliana Wankel) Helfrich of Tampa, FL. and Lauryn and Alexis Hurley both of Springfield, one great-grandson Jasiah of Tampa, FL. four brothers: Jerry (companion Joni Wendling) Hurley, Glen Leroy Hurley Jr. Rick (Cindy) Hurley and Bob (Pam) Hurley all of Springfield and Terry (Jackie) Hurley of Fort Meyers, FL. Three sisters: Jan (companion Barbara Henn) Hurley of Auburn, Betty Caswell of Springfield and Rhonda (Frank) Krakosky of Riverton as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Norma J. Lauterbach.
Gary worked for Benmar Corporation Home Improvement and he was a truck driver for USF Holland and retired from ABF Freights. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and living out in the country.
