Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Mendenhall passed away at the age of 73 on November 27, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 18, 1950 in Chicago to Robert Lee and Norma (Truitt) Pulliam. Liz married Kenneth Stephen Mendenhall on April 16, 1971 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2008.
Mrs. Mendenhall is survived by two children: Jennifer Johnson of Springfield and Michael (Jenny) Mendenhall of Williamsville, four grandchildren: Joshua and Jace Johnson and Ryan and Andrew Mendenhall, one brother Robert Pulliam, one nephew Jake Pulliam and one niece Lexi Pulliam.
Liz graduated from Springfield High School in 1968 and then attended Western Illinois University and Lincoln Land Community College. She worked for Memorial Medical Center and Pulliam Masonry. Liz had an emphatic love for her grandchildren and she enjoyed playing bridge and socializing with her friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday November 30, 2023 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. A private burial will take place at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
