Dolly A. Cripe, 70, of Springfield, passed away at 12:53 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her residence. Dolly was born on March 7, 1948 in Springfield, the daughter of Chester Wayne and Sarah Ann Feeley Turner. She married John Cripe on June 26, 1997 at South Side Christian Church. Dolly was a graduate of Lanphier High School. She enjoyed outdoor activities, including gardening and spending time up at the woods deer and squirrel hunting. Dolly had a great shot with her 32-caliber pistol. She was a wonderful cook and a kind-hearted lady, and she will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Danny W. Turner. She is survived by her husband, John Cripe of Springfield; one daughter, Deborah (husband, Raymond) Pilapil of Springfield; one son, Glenn Beechler of Springfield; two step-daughters, Jean Ann (husband, Mike) Knoedler of Phoenix, AZ and Johnelle (husband, Freddie) Baskett of Springfield; two grandchildren, Viviana Pilapil and Alexandra Beechler, both of Springfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. An additional visitation will be held from 9:00 until 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Elm Street Christian Church, 3020 E. Elm St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Elm Street Christian Church with Rev. John Sears officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Williamsville.
